Buzzzy + Location - is a new search engine that maps a person's geo-location data to events or locations to help understand the context of their activity streams.
Instead of relying upon explicit "Check-Ins," the service looks at implicit "check-ins" by looking at where an individual is when they publish to the web and not necessarily where they say they are.
For event promoters, Check-In and Hashtag spam can be reduced since it is now possible to only look at status updates from individuals who are physically at an event. Also, by associating a person with an event or location, it's possible to see where attendees are when not at the event. This can be very valuable for securing sponsors for events (as they will get a true look at what restaurants, bars, hotels are being utilized by attendees).
Since, the product aggregates data from the major location services including Twitter, Foursquare, Gowalla, and Google Buzz it provides the most comprehensive view of who is attending a particular event or is present at a particular location.
It is a product of WorkDigital Ltd, a London-based semantic search technology company.
